InfoGlue is an advanced, scalable and robust content management and portal platform written in 100% Java.

Key features of InfoGlue includes full multi-language support, good reuse between sites and extensive integration capabilities as well as JSR 168-support.

Here are some key features of "InfoGlue":

· Completely browser based - no plugins required. Supported and tested browsers are IE 5.5+ and Mozilla-based browsers like Mozilla Firefox.
· Handles all binary and text-formats. Binary files are handled as digital assets that are uploaded and text can be edited directly in the cms. Examples of common formats people use are word, pdf, flash, jpg and gif.
· Full extranet functionality with support for personal settings both on roles and users.
· A WYSIWYG-based page editor where the layout of a page and the components on it can be composed by non technicians.
· All information as well as all pages can be tagged with metadata. New metadata and new data types can be defined easily in the tools. This enables categorisation of pages and content.
· Any language are supported both on public sites as well as inside the administrative interfaces. This means that no limits are set on which languages a site can represent information in.
· Text can be rendered as images if needed for menus for example.
· Clean separation of site structure and content encourage reusing of images, documents and text. Multiple sites can share common documents.
· Integration is supported in several ways. External integrationlogic can be used directly from the templates for example.
· Support for multiple sites on several machines and other large-scale solutions.
· Both content and structure are easily navigated in a tree-like structure.
· Menus can be created in multiple ways. We support simple references, ordered collections and list sorted on meta-attributes. This enables the designers of the site you build to have complete freedom of the layout.
· Time controlled publishing and expiring of both pages and contents
· The publishing tool gives the site editor a good environment to preview and control what pages and what information gets published.
· Strong workflow for notifications and publishing. Version 1.3 also features a new workflow engine and a new tool for managing custom workflows.
· Versioning of both content and structure are supported.
· Multiple users can work on the site at the same time.
· Fine grained access control on all contents and pages so the organisation can distribute responsibilities throughout the organisation in a safe way.
· Templates, which control the site layout, are stored as contents and are therefore developed and deployed inside the system, which makes development faster, and maintenance easier.
· Personalization is possible for extranet solutions.
· All content are stored as XML and are based on an XML-Schema, which means import, and export to other systems is easier.
· Integration of existing web applications are possible in several different ways.
· A WYSIWYG-editor is supported in Internet Explorer 5.5 and above. The same support is coming up in Netscape browsers soon. The feature makes editing of content easier and more flexible.
· Template developers have a large API to work with for reaching both content and structure, which ensures fast development. Today we support the popular Velocity Template Language and support for JSP is coming up. A basic template-editor is included which makes the developers life easier.
· The platform is based entirely on other open source modules and should support any JDBC-2 compliant database including MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle and DB2. We have installations today on all of those.
· Very good performance from the start and the system scales well as multiple machines can be set up to scale with the number of users.
· Maintenance and backups can be made during runtime. As everything is stored in the database including binary content, backups are easily made and the system is easily transferred.
· Extremely flexible security system with pluggable architecture. Support for Singe Sign-On through CAS or custom modules. Rights and user management through either InfoGlue`s own user database or through Active directory or other LDAP-systems.
· Easy to install. An integrated update-system is included as well.
· Search and indexing is supported through other modules like the Apache Lucene engine.
· A caching mechanism makes the performance very good on site-level for ordinary pages. The mechanism is turned of for dynamic pages like external applications.
· It is possible to integrate other content-systems with InfoGlue through writing an adaptor. This is the default behaviour for InfoGlue`s own kernel so it is a proven concept.
· Inheritance of pages and information makes site development and maintenance easier.
· Logs with statistical information is stored and can be analyzed with your standard weblog-analyser tools.
· Possibility to generate nice URL:s on a website.
· Export / Import of whole sites between installations makes moving and archiving easy.

· Adding new ioqueue to the platform so we can use the feature in many non blocking situations.
· Together with, for example the common:import-tag, you can get cached results all the time and the system updates the result in that background.
· Implemented background-caching on import-tag. Also now possible to have fallback file cache for special caches.
· Fixed better support for i18n-chars in niceuri and redirects
· Added context.xml into webapps - so we don`t have to add them into catalina special folders
· Added a bit more user friendly handling in access rights screen with for example save and save and exit and visual notification of successful save.
· Added new interception point "Component.Select" so one can set access to individual components which controls who can select the component when adding component in structure tool.
· Before this was controlled by the normal "Content.Read" point but that had the negative effect that you had to protect all templates which had many pitfalls.
· Fixed bu...
