Publisher's description - MP3 Surround Player 4.0.0
MP3 Surround Player plays MP3 Surround files with and w/o MP3 Stereo eXtended (MP3 SX) technology as well as standard MP3 stereo files on your multichannel soundcard.
MP3 Surround files can be rendered for headphone reproduction with the Ensonido technology. Start MP3sPlayer and open an MP3 (Surround) file or just drag it onto the player window.
Make sure: · A 5.1 capable soundcard is installed and 5.1 speakers are connected for loudspeaker reproduction · The speaker settings are set to `5.1 Surround Sound` · For headphone reproduction with Ensonido, a 2 channel output is sufficient
If the player detects an MP3 Surround file, the 5.1 reproduction starts automatically. You can choose between the following three reproduction modes: · 5.1: Use this mode to play MP3 Surround or MP3 SX files on your 5.1 speaker setup · 5.1 for Headphones: Use this mode to render MP3 Surround or MP3 SX files for Surround Headphone reproduction with Ensonido. · Stereo: Use this mode to play the stereo part of the MP3 Surround or MP3 SX files on two loudspeakers or headphone (default for stereo MP3 files).
On restart, the player will automatically restore the previous reproduction mode. It will use surround reproduction only if the selected MP3 file from the playlist carries surround information.
NOTE: The use of this software is only allowed for personal and non-commercial purposes. Requirements:
· 333 MHz PowerPC G3.
· 128 MB RAM.
· At least 30MB of available hard-disk space.
· Soundcard with at least 5.1 channels and discrete output for loudspeaker playback or stereo soundcard for Ensonido headphone reproduction.
