iObserve automatically gathers all the information that you might need when observing the sky with small and big telescopes.

iObserve has been built from the scratch by an experienced professional astronomer.

If you have your own astronomical observatory (as an passionate about astronomy or a professional astronomer), simply enter its coordinates, and you will be able to use iObserve like any other built in observatory.

NOTE: iObserve can only be purchased via the Mac App Store (the buy link redirects you to its App Store page). To purchase/download applications via the App Store an Apple account is required.

Here are some key features of "iObserve":

· Resolve an object coordinates with SIMBAD
· Access automatically its aliases, magnitudes, and NASA ADS references
· Display the equatorial, celestial, galactic coordinates, in whatever epoch and units
· Access the ViziR catalogue pages, and ADS abstract page.
· Draw its airmass curve for for about 90 builtin observatories on Earth
· Draw simultaneously multiple air mass curves of different objects for comparison
· Get the table of the selected objects sorted according to their time of minimum airmass
· See the Moon`s airmass curve in place, and its minimum separation to any object, when relevant
· Observe the airmass curve over a night whose length and shift can be largely customized to even satisfy radio astronomers!
· Slide easily the night date to match future`s observing dates
· Find automatically for you the closest Landolt and UKIRT standard stars
· Know how much time an object spends above a given altitude during the night
· Get the time and length of the nights for 4 different twilights limits
· Perform searches in the object`s references

What`s New in This Release: [ read full changelog ]

· Fixed a bug where a new observatory with "-0" latitude and/or longitude values was recorded with "+0".
· Fixed a stupid bug that was simply preventing to import a basic list of stars without coordinates.
· Fixed the wrong boundaries of the data when saving the airmass curves as ASCII columns.
· Fixed the disappearance of the tracking windows when entering/exiting full screen.
· Fixed the wrong East/West longitude coordinates of observatories (negative longitudes were displayed with +180 degrees, that is, always positive).
· Added the possibility to cycle the tick labels of the airmass plot between UTC, LMST and Local Time (hover your mouse on axis titles)
· Changed to a new algorithm for the azimuth (see quick note in help).
· Added the ACT observatory in Croatia
· Improved the table showing multiple objects sorted according to their minimum airmass, with boundaries option, and the up time above given threshold.
· Added a visual feedback during the loading of the objects and the item tree nodes.
· Made ...
