Moreover, the World Clocks app can display accurate DST rules, that can be applied for your time zone selection. If you do not find your town in the list, you can select a nearby town and assign it your favorite name.
For all cities the accurate DST (Day Light Saving) rules are maintained for this year and for other years to come.
All clocks are thoroughly tested for DST rules for various cities. For instance, for Karachi (Pakistan) the DST rules were applied in 2009, but not in 2010 or for the future years up to 2019.
All these rules were carefully coded and tested. By observing a DST rule, a clock will advance or decline automatically at the DST transition.
