CHICKEN produces portable, efficient C, supports almost all of the R5RS Scheme language standard, and includes many enhancements and extensions.
Separate compilation is supported and full tail-recursion and efficient first-class continuations are available.
CHICKEN is cross-platform and it runs on Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and many Unix flavors.
Installation
Detailed installation instructions are available here. If you want to avoid bulding CHICKEN from source you can use MacPorts:
sudo port install chicken
This will download, compile and install the latest CHICKEN version.
