A new American study says, that it is possible to safe energy while surfing the net, if the websites use more black or navy colors.
The Firefox Add-on GreenfirePRO can individually change the color of any website to save energy. You can select four different levels: - Level 1 standard appearance - no energy is saved. - Level 2 the background is black and the text is lime. - Level 3 all website elements are black. - Level 4 additionally blocks all pictures. Maximum energy is saved!
Of course you can make individual settings for every tab and every website. With a right click on the Add-on you can choose your standard setting for all websites.
The GreenfirePRO addon is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. The GreenfirePRO extension allows you to save electricity while surfing the net.
